This is a short course and review of how to take a California state standard and deconstruct it - Break it down - into the component parts. The power of this is that once you get good at deconstructing standards, you'll quickly and easily be able to determine exactly what a student needs to know, and from there decide how you will know when the student has learned the standard. This will help you in assessment and maybe more importantly, figuring out exactly where the student needs to be retaught to master the standard.
